Stairway to Heaven-Appalachian Trail, NJ

I’ve been to this place twice because the view on top is worth it. This is a challenging hike because you are constantly going uphill and over rocks. There are many people who struggle on this trail but they do make it to the top. Great hike to bring your dog who is a med. or large breed and who are in shape. When you do make it to the top rest here for awhile and take in the view before you go back down. The sunsets from this viewpoint are absolutely breathtaking. If you plan on doing a sunset hike plan ahead, have a flashlight know the trail because it’s tricky when the sun goes away. I hiked it once and then the second hike I did it at sunset because I knew the trail and what to expect.
